I didn't expect to like them so much. The space saving is the biggest bonus, they pack almost nothing and fit easily in my closets. It's gardening/canning season so the big one over the sink has been non-stop for weeks. I agree with other reviewers that they aren't that strenuous. The thickness of the bottom plastic creates a strong surface tension in the drain holes that helps retain water. But all you have to do is tap the screen and it all comes out. Easily overcome, so definitely not a deal breaker. Someone else has complained about the silicone being flimsy and I honestly disagree at all. It's designed to open and close repeatedly, and the silicone is very strong but brittle enough to get the job done. Like I said, I didn't expect to love these filters as much as I do now. I'm glad I bought them and will be adding them to any future housewarming gift list.
