Our first package served us more than 3 years. It has more life to be honest, but being in the hands of our youngest daughter I felt the need to upgrade the case after she ripped off the tab covering the charging port. Whilst using this cover there have been MANY falls and falls on all types of surfaces including a concrete road. Our iPad's screen never broke once. We use a glass screen protector in addition to the case, but there were times when we didn't have a screen protector and the iPad's screen was still alive. The design is simple. Is it a handle or stand. The angle of the stand is ideal for watching movies but not ideal for video calls. During the pandemic we were doing speech teletherapy and I had to prop the iPad up with something so my girls could fit in the camera frame. For us, the iPad is primarily used for movies, so we're happy with the angle of the stand. The only gripe I miss for changing sprockets is the tab that covers the charging port. Initially, it is very stiff, but over time it "stretches" and can easily be torn off, as was the case in our situation. I also noticed that the long side opposite the handle doesn't fit our iPad as well and feels loose compared to our first case. I hope this doesn't affect the performance of the new case. I will update my review when this happens.
