Review on Bunn 20216 0000 Assembly Stainless Steel Black by Tara Gardner

OK, but you NEED a funnel tip kit (not included)!

First I'll say the most important thing: As another reviewer (Sirenyard) pointed out, this funnel is incomplete! You will need a funnel tip kit, Bunn part number 01031.0000. It took me two weeks of frustrated internet searching to discover that this was the reason my machine was making unacceptably weak coffee. The first suggestion I found online was a smaller spray head. Bunn sent me one for free but it didn't fix the problem. I finally came back here and found Sirenyard's suggestion for a funnel tip set. I looked at Bunn's illustrated parts catalog for the VP17 and the page with this steel funnel clearly shows the funnel tip kit to use with it. I called Bunn and they sent me free tips. I bought this for my VP17 because I didn't want the coffee maker to touch the plastic when brewing coffee. Since the VP17 comes with a plastic funnel, I replaced it with this funnel. I've been banging my head against the wall for the past two weeks because my new machine was making very weak coffee. After a few tips and adjusting the grind level (for my taste the machine needs a very fine grind level) everything is fine and I am satisfied. Other casual observations: - It's built like an LHC. For real. Tank. And beautiful.- Without a set of tips with a filter, it's on the counter. With a jet set with a filter (absolutely necessary IMO) it will tip to one side or the other. Not a big deal, but I liked it better when it stayed completely flat while I scooped coffee into it. Bunn paper filters are cheap and fit perfectly. They also fall straight into the trash can 9 times out of 10. Sometimes they get stuck in the trash and make a bit of a mess, but nothing you can't just flush down the sink. - Easy to clean in the dishwasher. , easy to clean in the sink but if you want to use a brush or sponge to clean by hand it becomes more difficult because the inner metal basket/filter holder is suspended slightly above the bottom of the funnel so you have to do it in between /crawl under the bars. Also, when cleaning or rinsing, be sure to wash under the splash guard! That's where the bases get stuck.
