Do not purchase Monroe 822 rear shocks for 1997-2005 models. etc. for Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac and GM vehicles with rear shock absorbers. They are designed for a hard truck that shakes the car terribly without giving in. They are designed for very heavy loads. After a year of suffering and talking to many GM mechanics and dealers without any help, I finally spoke to a manager at Gabriel with reassurances that they have the right man! Only $75 for a pair and I had the Cadillac dealer fit them so it would be ok. They are awesome, smooth and non-buoyant. I can finally travel comfortably and safely again!
