Now there are 3 sets for home use and van. The user is paraplegic and has a bad feeling in the lower body. The first purchase was during a "recovery" from pressure sores caused by a new wheelchair cushion. We believe these pads have been an integral part of the successful treatment of pressure ulcers (bedsores) and the continued prevention of further pressure-related problems. The pads are easy to apply as the sticky surface sticks well to the vinyl of the padded toilet seats we apply them to. Washing the pads has minimal effect on stickiness and they will stick again after drying. Therefore, it is easy to keep them clean with chlorox wipes and/or soap and water cleaners. We only found two things: while the surface you sit on isn't "sticky," it doesn't "slip" you very easily, requiring you to get up to change position on the seat. Secondly, as can be seen in the attached images, with "point pressure" the gel deforms over time. However, there is no leakage, only damaged material as you can see in the picture. A little movement/repositioning of the lid can help by placing a "new" area under the pressure point. Overall the product looks very well made, retains its adhesion after cleaning and eliminates dents well.
