I ordered two of these - one for my green sofa and one for my dog chair. i love both The green is deep (but muted, not light) on one side and light on the other. The doggie pattern is AMAZING (and if I'm feeling less whimsical, I can wear it solid as well). These items are much more durable and stay in place better than the bedspreads and blankets I've used on furniture, and they're a lot cheaper. I think some of the bad reviews are from people who may have had unrealistic expectations for a product at this price point. The slipcovers cover my full sized couch (big length but it sits low and the slipcover is a bit longer in the front) and my regular sized chair (regular chair cover works great - perfect size). Covers cover the area that pets will sit on - they do not completely cover all parts of the furniture. The photos in the various reviews are fairly accurate. I have enough room to tuck in the slipcovers and still keep the arms and backs of the furniture closed. Didn't use the straps but I have a small dog who won't move the suitcase. I think even on a larger animal these covers work just as well or even better than regular (more expensive) covers. I am very happy with it and plan to buy another one for my other chair.
