So in transit, it looks like one corner was dinged so I can't fault the manufacturer as it was very well packed and secured. Even with this, I am very very satisfied with the fit and finish. I was expecting some cheaper materials to be used (like the cardboard / wood looking scalloped backing) but it is far from that. It is very high quality, thick, heavy wood! Very easy to assemble (just put the hutch on the base and screw it together), finish is beautiful and I constantly get comments on this piece in my house as it is really large. Honestly, I am looking at other pieces made by NovaSolo to put into the house because I am that happy with it. If there is ANY downside to it, it is the smell. The paint has a very pungent chemical smell so with the doors closed all the time, every time you open them, you smell it. I think the same would go for any manufacturer, so it seems to be a necessary evil. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the purchase. It seems to be a quality piece of furniture that will last a long time!
