I like this stand because it can be moved out of the way. My Xbox is connected to the same monitor as my gaming PC and changes inputs depending on what I'm playing on. I move the monitor back about a foot when I'm at the PC. I didn't find the position of the fixed shifter mount ideal for my riding setup. To ensure the mounting position was about 6 inches higher, I ditched the factory bracket and made my own bracket from the remains of an old bracket that was used to mount the back of a car radio. The span is 5 holes, and the end holes of this homemade bracket needed more drilling. The first hole of the mounting pad now bolts directly to the stand, and a DIY bracket helps stabilize it. All that is needed for this mod is a bracket and a 1 1/2" long screw with the same thread pitch as the mounting pad. The stand did tend to tilt toward me occasionally while riding, but I mitigated this by placing two 8-pound dumbbells on the stand, just in front of where I mounted the pedals.
