Review on Tiger PDU A30U K Electric Stainless 3 0 Liter by Julie Spalding

Have been using it every day for a couple of weeks - always full day/evening use. I love the convenience over a kettle. Just yesterday when I was filling the device with water I noticed a small white buildup on the underside of the lid (I believe it's made of stainless steel and is the part that helps form a seal when closing). In any case, I'm sure it's normal, so I wiped the metal surface with a towel. When I was done I noticed a little rust on a small section of the towel from wiping. I thought stainless steel didn't rust? This is the only concern at the moment and judging by other reviews of this and other brands this seems to be common. I assume that frequent (at least once a week or so) cleaning would be appropriate.
