Review on Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Featuring Active Noise Cancellation in Black and Silver by Siu Yun ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

I took headphones, mainly for use at work as a headset, and at the same time for listening to music while working at a laptop. There are ordinary wired sensors, but without a microphone, and I wanted something close in sound quality, but with a microphone and without wires. After 3 months of operation, there was a definite opinion, which I decided to share. There are no complaints about the sound quality, they do not reach good wired ones, but if you are not an audiophile, then they sound very worthy, much better than various budget BT headphones. But on the software side, the headphones are very raw, as can be seen from other reviews. It is unlikely that what is described in the shortcomings is the problem of iron. And most likely this could be fixed with firmware, since the headphones themselves and the proprietary application allow firmware ates. But the manufacturer is in no hurry to fix anything and release an ate. In general, I would not recommend buying, at least until the existing problems are fixed.

Pros
  • Sound quality, two bluetooth sources at the same time, excellent battery life
Cons
  • Disgusting noise reduction - if you turn it on, then interference is heard in the presence of a signal. The music is not so critical, it is clearly audible only at a very low volume. But when used as a headset, for example, in zoom or other social networks, the signal goes on constantly and this interference is constantly present. Periodic glitches when you listen to music from a laptop and at the same time the headphones are connected to the phone - the music stutters, as if the headphones start switching between the laptop and the phone once a second. The most critical thing for me is that the headphones automatically turn off exactly one hour after the start of the zoom conference (I haven’t tested it in others). It just infuriates when in the middle of a discussion of some important topic you hear "power off" and the headphones turn off.
