Looks like it was well made and once installed it worked and fixed my fuel gauge problem. The only question I have is why they changed the harness connector. Splicing the wiring was a challenge as there is no slack in the original wiring to make it easy. Maybe it's a regular pump so they started with a new plug I have no idea but it worked. I had a hard time putting the locking ring back on and had to use the original rubber grommet, but that's irrelevant to this part - I tried not to hit the locking ring with a screwdriver as it's recommended to use brass, which doesn't have any sparks generated.
