This is an infrared heater, which means it does NOT heat the air. only article. slippery, poorly marked and uncomfortable. Heat/power consumption is 250W low and 505W high. The rollover switch was sticky and would not allow the power to turn on on a mid-pile carpet. It should only be used on a firm, hard surface. Face down The thermal shutdown test did not turn off the device. It is best to use a foot warmer under the table, a personal workspace heater and NEVER leave it unattended, that's all right. As with anything, it is only as secure as the intelligent user. .
