At first I wanted to hook up two monitors and make myself some extra USB ports. The USB, ethernet and headphone ports worked well. Unfortunately, when trying to connect one or two monitors, the connection was intermittently lost. At first I thought it was a cable so I sent the first one back and got another one but the same thing happened. I tried both USB ports on my laptop, same thing. Then I realized it was the device itself. For some reason my dock stopped being recognized after I connected a monitor or two to my laptop. This depends on how long and how often the connection to the monitors is available. I've tried updating the laptop's BIOS and drivers for the graphics card, motherboard and other related devices, but the problem persists. Nothing I tried seemed to work. Eventually I got fed up and bought a replacement dual 4k monitor adapter with Ethernet to USB port. It featured USB-A and USB-C ports for connecting to Mac and PC. It was cool for my monitor. I just got a USB connector for my other USB devices and I'm happy now. The Pluggable Display Adapter can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F2TSR43/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 To people considering this product I would say no. They really need to work on their issues when the monitors are docked.
