This juicer doesn't press anything. There is a good 6mm gap between the top and bottom, which is not enough to avoid squeezing either lemons or limes. Half a lemon hangs between two plates, waiting for more pressure, but the handles won't budge. I'm not sure if this is a defective item as I don't see anyone else pointing it out. Ordered a replacement, will update if the next one works better. Update: No, it's not that, boss. Both juicers were bad - the replacement was even worse. I don't know how people get excited that the fruit itself has more than half the juice of a lime, but I can do better with my own hands. Both returned.
