I have never used an adapter, I had to search the internet for instructions. Nobody comes with it. The adapter looks like a regular SD card with pins like an SD card. There is a micro SD card slot at the bottom of the adapter. It took me a bit of trial and error to figure out that the card had to be fully inserted (pins down, like the pins on the adapter) so that it didn't protrude from the bottom edge of the adapter. Only then will the SD card be registered on your computer. Remember that it takes some force to fully insert the card into the adapter and some force to pull it out. To pull it out, you need to grab it with two fingernails (there is a notch at the end of the adapter) and pull. I have to admit that I was concerned that when I first tried to eject the SD card and it wouldn't come out, I thought about destroying the card eject adapter, but by pulling on it further it happened. The SD card is so small that when fully inserted into the adapter, the card barely opens and you can grab it with your fingernails. The adapter works and the price is good. However, be aware that if this is your first time using the adapter like I did, you will have some concerns.
