I wanted to add some bright colors to our 1950's style bathroom (complete with a pink dresser and pink tub - we're renters and just need to fiddle with the designer hands we have in store). ) . The red color is very nice and saturated, but not too bright. The brush itself gets the job done, although I wish both the handle and the brush were a few inches longer. The brush bristles are quite stiff, it would be nice if they were more flexible for cleaning under the rim. The plastic case is thick and has withstood several months of use, the appearance has not changed with wear and tear. However, since the container is somewhat airtight (dark and damp), it's a real breeding ground for mold in my experience. To get around this, air/sterilize the brush and container in the sun after each use (not advisable in winter) or spray a 10% bleach solution on the brush when you're done. If you do this, you can bypass the mold problem. I would recommend this model if you want to add some color to your bathroom (but can't paint because you rent it) and need a durable, beautiful and functional toilet brush.
