I ordered half a size up based on other reviews and I understand why. The shoes are very hard. High velcro sucks. If you close all the Velcro, your child will detach as soon as they start walking. The son went all weird not to untie the velcro. So I loosened it so there is no ankle support, but the shoe makes no velcro noise when walking. The idea is cool, but the execution is lame. I'm glad I only paid $25 for it. He's just been trying them out on the carpet in our house since yesterday. Tired of sending him to school with it, that was the whole point.
