Review on πŸ”§ CorrosionX Industrial Grade Rust and Corrosion Preventative Lubricant - 16 fl oz Trigger Spray, Multi-Purpose Penetrant, Marine Grade Protection - Cleans, Lubricates, and Protects by Micael Casillas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If I had an oil rig in the bay I would spray my feet with this stuff.

Easy to use on firearms but excellent for storage. I don't use it as a lube because it's not. After 40 years of firearm ownership and a lot of training, use and assembly, I have found nothing better than air compressor oil. Motor oil is not bad, but it cokes up in the compressor. Well, compressor oil DOESN'T WORK - so at $5 for 16 ounces at Home Depot, it protects against the relatively low friction that firearms produce at a fraction of the cost of specialty "gun oil" and has nothing else. Chemicals in it that make a lot of gun oil - the kinds that require you to wear gloves. However, I also built a tornado shelter in the basement. 3/8" steel plate glued to the floor, pierced so I can run 5/8" rebar down 5 feet through the floor and into the floor, then block wall over the steel and the corner bar that the Wall lined, welded to steel plate. The 1/2 inch rebar welded to the corner bar then goes up to more corner bars along the top of the walls. Sometimes we get a tide that lets some water through, and our humidity here digs into the hygrometer needle. Rust on the iron is almost a given, and when I found it I hit it with a wire brush and sprayed everything with that junk. Two years in a row and it looks like I sprayed it just yesterday.
