Aside from the usual basics of quick thermometer reading, accurate readings and speed, what I liked most was the ease of turning the thermometer on and off. Simply pull the probe to turn it on and close it to turn it off. You don't have to find and hold the button to turn it off while trying to take food off the grill or oven. I've had others that stayed on. So if you haven't turned them off, you may forget that the battery will die next time you use them. Just. I like it.
