The scoop is just awesome. I have a Husky mix so I have tumbleweeds on the floor an hour after cleaning. The teeth on the dustpan make a huge difference - I don't have to worry about dog hair flying off the broom. The rubber end of the dustpan stays flush with the floor, so you don't have to sweep 50 times to push the lint into the dustpan :) I think it's definitely worth just using the dustpan, but the broom isn't very good. I find the spinning head more annoying than helpful. If it had been up and down, maybe it would be a different story. But side by side just means I gotta keep fixing it. The broom picks up dog hair a little better than other brooms I've had, but that could very well be due to the dustpan.
