Eco-friendly alternative, don't expect miracles

I bought this to replace a Leaps & Bounds plastic stick toy that broke. This stick is much thicker but shorter. The string connecting the ball is elastic so I can bounce it for my cat to chase. She kicked the ball, bunny, without seriously damaging the ball, but the feathers fell off within minutes just because I shook the toy/she hit them. It's a cheap cat toy, after all, but a lot nicer than the plastic waste it replaces.
