I bought this helmet because it was the cheapest toddler helmet on Amazon at $11.99. I figured my kid should outgrow it fast. But when it comes to security, I don't think it's really worth the few bucks saved. Pros: SIMPLE/cheap Cons: Sizing starts at 28cm, doesn't look like it. My daughter also has a helmet with the same rating but it definitely felt smaller and fit more. So the back strap is very old fashioned. They simply converge at the back, while most "modern" youth helmets have an additional strap with an elastic band that wraps around the lower part of the back of the head. It helps resist movement and cushions one of the most sensitive areas of the brain. It took me 10 seconds to inspect this helmet to realize it wouldn't work for my son and I'm willing to shell out another $3-$5 for a safer/more reliable option.
