Review on Streamlined Single Handle Bathroom Technology Assembly: 559HA BL DST by Tory Richardson

Looks great, has a few design flaws but good overall

So I've wanted this faucet for my bathroom at Lake House for a long time. Live looks better than the pictures. The finish is perfect (I have a bronze champagne color). The price paid on Amazon was $163 and the shipping was top notch. Arrived on time and well packaged. Please note that you will see in my photos that I used it with a 3 hole overlay. This is not included and not designed for this faucet. I ordered a Delta from Revain which said it was for Trinsic faucets but there was no information on specific models and the Delta website was (as usual) beyond useless. I had to modify the pad to fit this faucet and everything worked fine. BUT, it doesn't sit perfectly flat due to the awful design of the mounting plate on the faucet itself. If anyone needs help trying this, I'm happy to help. First the good: - Looks perfect. - Flows well (I have a ton of water pressure, so although little flow, it flows decently, not great.) - Finishes are consistent and high quality - Installs in minutes. Delta did a really good job here. - Pretty good instructions - Cartridge feels really solid and has a slight click. I like it. Cons: - The black gasket doesn't really fit well. Hits the mounting screw. A perfect example of Delta not paying attention to its design. Not a big problem, but a bit annoying - No adapter plate (or pad). Surprising as this pretty much means you can't use this for refurbishment as most existing gauges are 3 hole setups. Ok Delta. At a minimum, match the design of the faucet to the existing plates you are selling. Demonstrates a lack of engineering and integration into the product line. The assembly system is very simple but very stupid. Transfers all torque to one side of the valve. If they used two mounting bars it would be perfect. Drives me crazy enough that I may never buy a Delta again. - The flow is much lower than it should be. If I didn't have strong water pressure I would return them. There should be no stains on the finish. It's 2018, that should be obvious. Thanks again Delta.- The crane rotates, but it rotates 360 degrees, I have no idea who came up with that, there's no reason it needs to rotate that far. maybe 45 degrees in each direction? Anyway, Delta: In general I'm satisfied so far. Hope it lasts long and doesn't get too greasy. I would not pay more than $200 for this item for the reasons above. Seriously, Delta, you're so close to getting a premium product, but you're only missing the mark in a few areas.
