It was better than expected. Added photos of the 8mm hook vs. Susan Bates' 8mm hook to show the shape and size of the hook. My hand doesn't get tired or hurt with these ergonomic grips. They are so easy to hold. Other plastic hooks have good thickness and a wide range of sizes. This set was exactly what I was looking for as I didn't have any larger hooks: the range is great for many needs. All hooks slide easily through the yarn and do not get caught. The metal ones could have been better, but I honestly haven't had any major issues with them. I just wish the head was a little more pointed, I usually knit tight and it took me a while to get used to the more blunt end. being ergonomic, they have a short hook area and a blunt hook shape. This tends to be a problem when using heavier yarns. I have no problem picking up yarn. I even used 3mm with #4 thread and still had no problems. For this price you get a lot of hooks in different sizes. I am happy with my purchase.
