Those ankle straps!
Once the ankle straps are adjusted to your taste, these fit well and feel stable. But, in truth, the straps are not user friendly and for me are difficult to buckle. It takes me more time to buckle up, so to speak, than to put on my entire outfit. Otherwise, once that chore is done, the shoes are fine, comfy enough for extended wear and elongate the look of my feet nicely. The toe straps felt sharp, but some moleskin solved that. It sounds like I'm lukewarm in my praise but, overall I like them and they look great. Few pairs of shoes are perfect and what price beauty, right?
