They are fairly similar in size to regular cutlery. The strength is probably a 7 out of 10, better than the really weak stuff but I've used better. I've had a few times where knives have broken while being used for things I couldn't even think of. The forks work well with soft to medium-hard foods, but I've had a few breaks with chicken breasts and 1-inch pork chops (knew I probably pressed that, so no surprise). Spoons are good, there were no problems with them. The only real issue I had was they responded with a gold insert on the back molar, not the prettiest thing to eat and the main reason I wouldn't buy it again.
