Review on Uniden BBTY0651101 Cordless Phone Battery – BT1007 Nickel-Cadmium Rechargeable, DC 2.4V 500mAh by Peris Auditore

I have a custom nickel cadmium battery for my old ca. 2010 Uniden cordless phone. I didn't want one of the new material batteries in my old Uniden for fear of fire etc -Use phone. Instead, I got a nickel-metal hydride battery. Since it was the same model #BT1007 I thought I'd give it a try. When I first tried to install it, the battery got hot and almost burned my fingertips. After letting it cool down, I put the battery in the phone and let it charge. After charging overnight, the battery got hot and the phone didn't work. I noticed that too, ok. The white 3/16" x 1/8" battery cover came loose where I was holding it with my finger as it got hot. The battery is clearly defective. Please refund my payment.
