Works well as a rope guide

I ran black nylon cord through two of them to remove a 6 inch handrail that is about 12 feet off the ground and has a hand winch mounted on it. That. I regularly lift and lower objects over 100 pounds and these plates don't move at all. They survived the winter without the slightest trace of rust. It's an odd use, of course, but these things are well done.
