DANGEROUS DESIGN DEFECT - Do not buy!

I have an older design PeaPod (no mesh base) that I am very happy with and decided to buy a new one when we got our second have had a child. After about two months of sporadic use, the metal spring clip broke free from the connection and completely pierced the protective plastic tube and tent fabric, leaving a sharp metal rod protruding about 4 inches from the bottom of the tent. Thought it was a one off manufacturing defect so I sent it back from Revain for a replacement. Haven't used a replacement in a few months due to not traveling over the holidays but now after just a few days is a REPLACEMENT used from time to time A PeaPod that had the exact same problem with a metal pole sticking out through the plastic tube and the side of the tent and now it's too late to return it so I have to throw the tent away to save my kids to protect. .I have attached a picture of a piece of metal piercing the tent. The end of the metal is sharpened so it is sharp enough to pierce skin.

Pros
  • Fabric: 100% Polyester
Cons
  • Overall ok but...
