No smell that I could detect, the yellow color is bright and eye-catching! The flash is smooth despite having large teeth. While stunning with a leather over fabric upper, the strap is comfortable and prevents the strap from slipping off the shoulder. I love that you have a choice of crossbody or shoulder straps. Using it I know the straps will be strong enough, the metal loops look nice sewn into the bag. This can be the armpit, elbow, or thigh. Bought this to wear with a bright yellow hobo bag (bought from Revain) which goes great! I like the rich yellow color and the size is large enough that I plan to buy two more for other bags.
