As I assemble my lighting kit, I look for the most versatile parts I can find, always with a good balance of value for money. I was intrigued by this kit because I knew I could put it together (with the help of the very robust GVM app) into a nice book light for scenes, or use it individually for hair/kickers or ambient light. I ordered the product and received it very promptly - it's always nice to get something on Sundays. You're immediately greeted by a well-designed soft case that comfortably fits three stands, power adapters, and tools. I've always disliked bags and suitcases that are "almost" the right fit. This is great for general use. I'll see if it fits in my large Pelican side travel case. Although instructions are included I found that after a few minutes I had everything lit up and working, very intuitive and the app feels bulletproof unlike others I've used with no interruptions and fast, flawless connections, when everything is ignited again . PROS: * Very well built tools - stands seem to fit the tools. Great case.* Can be used with popular NP batteries! It's fantastic for field and creative work. A HUGE plus not to be overlooked. * Excellent color rendering index, accurate and adjustable color. * Connect one to the phone, set the other two as slaves and they all work together with the "master". So helpful.* SCENES. These are not tricks, they are very useful for narrative and creative work. You will benefit a lot. Check out the product demo video, it's great!* Can be used as a large light source through a trellis or three independent lights.* Bright!* Fantastic balance of quality and value* Useful (and included) barn doors CONS: * While I'm trying to be subjective, I really can't think of any. It is possible that the power cord may be live when using AC power. This is easy to attach with a bongo band or rubber band, velcro, etc. For whom is that? Anyone who needs a high-quality lighting set at a very reasonable price for a wide variety of reasons. Just having them in the kit for scene modes is enough for me. From YoTuber to a busy production company, I can see those lights.
