I returned them because (to the extent possible) I no longer buy Chinese products due to ongoing human rights abuses by the government (including genocide and forced labour/reopening of education camps, intellectual property theft). etc etc. However, to be honest I give the shoe itself 4 stars. It fits well and appears to be a good product. I've read in several other reviews that the durability isn't very good, so only 4 stars for that reason. If Topo ever stops making their products in China, I'd be happy to reconsider.
