I wanted to do a coolant flush on my 2002 Toyota Corolla CE because I noticed a different brand of coolant in the radiator. After doing some research for my first coolant flush, I realized that this type of leakproof funnel would really make the job easier. Thanks to various attachments, this product lasts for many years with different vehicles. The blue tips match my Corolla 02. If you have the same or a similar car you might find this useful: concentrate, not pink 50/50). A gallon jar was $35 at a Toyota dealership. When rinsing with distilled water, 3 liters ran out of the drain hole at the bottom of the radiator. I filled/drained 4 times and after the last drain poured 3 liters of concentrate into the radiator to get a final 50/50 mix. After each fill with distilled water (radiator filled, then 1/3 of the funnel up) I ran the engine until it reached operating temperature for about 10 minutes to allow the thermostat to open and coolant to circulate through the system. when the air was really hot. When this happens, I ran the fan at full speed for about 5 minutes to ensure distilled water was moving through the entire system. If the air wasn't hot, that meant there was air in the system, so I turned the heater off completely, then squeezed the upper radiator hose and watched air bubbles rise out of the funnel, then checked the heater again.
