Review on ๐ŸŒˆ Aunt Martha's Vintage Dish Towels Set - Pack of 3, 18x28 Inches, Multi Striped, MultiStripe Design by Janet Tijerina

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Well-made attractive vintage kitchen towels, but

I ordered multicolored towels from Aunt Martha so that my kitchen would have yellow and white with red, blue, yellow all the time. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE BRIGHT COLORS AND THE QUALITY OF THESE TOWELS. THEY FIT VERY WELL ON THE CLOSED BOTTOM AND SIDES, ARE MADE OF HEAVY TOWEL MATERIAL, AND ARE SIZED ENOUGH 12" x 28" with a loop sewn on for hanging. IN MY KITCHEN YOU ARE WELL. Unfortunately, they turned out to be absolutely non-absorbent. ALL THE WATER IS ON THE HANDS AND NOTHING ON THE TOWEL. IN THE LAST 2 YEARS I HAVE WASHED THEM MANY TIMES IN HOT WATER AND LIQUID DETERGENT AND THEN THROUGH THE Tumble Dryer WITHOUT FABRIC CONDITIONER. OR DRY PADS TO HELP THEM BE ABSORBENT. I THOUGHT THIS WILL REMOVE EVERY SIZE ON THE MATERIAL, AND I THOUGHT THEY WOULD "CANCEL" AS OTHERWISE TERMINATED. BUT IN 2 YEARS, I DON'T THINK THEY WILL BE. THESE TOWELS MAY LAST A LIFETIME AND LOOK GOOD ON SCREEN. BUT IF YOU BUY THEM TO DRY YOUR HANDS, YOU'RE UNBLUCKY. BETTER USE CHEAP FLUFFY "KITCH TOWELS". THEY CAN BE GOOD COOKING ACCESSORIES: THEY ARE GOOD FOR COVERING BREAD STRAPS TO PROVIDE DOUGH, OR USING TO ROLL JELLY BUNS OR CINNAMON BOLLS. Maybe you can put the pie dough on it and not stick it.

Pros
  • not absorbent at all
Cons
  • , some difficulties
