TL;DR: Not enough compression for me at the recommended size, but might be useful for less athletic activities. Well made and otherwise appears to be a good product. Long version I wouldn't say I'm a professional dancer so I'm pretty picky about things like ankle support. For light everyday use, they're probably fine at the recommended size. They are also suitable as a layer worn over a bandaged ankle to keep the band in place. I ordered according to the sizing instructions but found the recommended size to have too little compression to support a moderate load. Straining ankles as they continue to rehearse for the show, which opens later this month. If your everyday life is less demanding in terms of physical activity, they may suit you perfectly, so as light compression sleeves they are still worth trying. I ordered a size smaller, might fit me. However, the double band at the top may be too tight. Anyway, I found another product that works almost perfectly for me. However, I plan to keep them. I think they may be useful for air travel and possibly to prevent abrasions on the ankles and shins when training on the trapeze, lyre and other aerial equipment, provided the projectile doesn't flake them off (I'll try to report this) .
