4 instead of 5 because of a few things. First, they were a little smaller than I thought. They were correctly described, but I "bite" because of the small carabiners in the photo. They're actually tiny, but the suction cups look bigger. Second, for my purpose (to hold a lightweight tent on a fiberglass camper), they don't work as intended. The problem is that with them on the RV roof, the airflow hits the suction cups from the side and not from above. Ultimate strength (and ability not to "break" the seal) is much lower under lateral pull. I'm sure there are engineers out there who can quantify this, but I think they'll be fine for a light static load, but heavy loads require heavy loads. I'm not sending them back as I'm sure I'll put them to good use. They're well built and work, but don't think they're big cups for heavier loads like mine.
