I'm not sure if the rim tape saved me from bumps, but it was definitely the reason for the compliments. The band itself really looks like the pictures. Red lights reflect the person better. I've included a couple of close-ups, one with the garage light on and one off, to better compare the tape to the stock fork reflectors. I personally think it was a great prize and I think it should be pretty solid. The application is easy if you follow the given instructions and tips. It also helps if you've ever applied decals. Luckily the tape is highly reflective and hopefully won't be viewed up close anyway, so it's very forgiving if you're not perfect. The adhesive is quite strong, so make sure the tape is oriented the way you want it before making any strong contact. Pretty sure removal will lead to destruction. Speaking of breakage and flaws, an extra strip is attached for each size/slice. I have a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom and I ended up with an extra strip as well as about 6" strips on all four sides of the rim. and help. I say that because the installation really shouldn't be difficult. I did it alone in about thirty minutes.
