Good product! I bought this little gem for myself.

Great product! I bought this little gem for my 1999 Ford Ranger. I'm obviously going through some sort of mid-life crisis right now because I've decided to throw in a 3" lift, big tires and cute wheels and give the truck back some of its youthful charm! After all, it was my first car out of college and the only car I've ever bought new. I love this truck. The only problem with the truck was that it didn't have bluetooth. I like making hands-free calls (while driving) and decided to try this option. It was a lot easier to set up and get started than I thought. The sound is clear. The transmission from the Bluetooth device to the radio is seamless, no clicking, popping, crosstalk, radio interference or signal loss. You can leave the speakerphone connected to the network for several days, but leaving it on too long will drain the battery. I learned this the hard way (like most things in life). The push to talk button works great with the iPhone and dials better than the built in Bluetooth on my Prius. So now that I think about it, I'm fixing my truck. I drive a damn Prius, folks! And I wanted something sturdier for going on camping trips and talking hands-free while driving. I'm going camping after my freshman year and I really don't want to drive a Prius to the place. Don't get me wrong, I love my Prius. It holds tons of gear but looks like a doorstop. There. Got that. That's why I'm raising my truck. Audio streaming works like a champ on this bad boy! Lately I've been jamming all the way to Christmas music on my Pandora station. Once you connect your phone to the device, streaming music is just as easy. There's nothing quite like cruising down the street in a gorgeous looking truck with Otis Redding singing "Merry Christmas Baby" to the company. To be honest, Bonnie Raitt and Charles Brown's version of this song is amazing too. They sang a duet on "A Very Special Christmas Album 2" and it's fantastic. Both versions sound good and clear! Note: I haven't tried the micro SD slot on the speakerphone, so I can't give you an overview of it. Maybe I'll update when I have time. The only downside I've heard of is not on my side. Sometimes the people I call say they hear an echo of their own voice. I'm guessing that's because they hear her voice over my radio. In fact, Rob is the only person who has actually complained about it, and he complains about everything on this planet. I am serious. Right now his big problem is that Thor Ragnarok was just "too ridiculous". This is coming from the SAME MAN who got me into Dr. Terrible sing-along. And that's 42 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. Never. Receive. Return. I was a little concerned that it might stick out too far from the cigarette lighter socket (yes, this truck is old enough to have a cigarette lighter) and catch the switch on the way down. It's not like this. It has a low profile and is perfect for tight spaces! YUP! All in all this is a great product. I recommend it to anyone who wants to add a hands-free audio system to their car. I already bought one for my wife's Smart for Christmas. I hope she doesn't read this. I've also included photos of him in the vehicle so you can see how far he goes. Also here are pictures of the truck, the Prius and the Smart car. I just washed both of them so thought I'd share some pics. Yes, I know the paint is peeling off the truck. I will fix it too. I've gone ahead and included a mockup of what I'm about to do with the truck! This brings back his mojo! 3/3/2018 I added a new photo of my truck and it looks really cute! I left out the stickers because the simple black and white motif looks a bit like a stormtrooper and I love it.

Pros

Cons
  • Good but not great
