They are individually wrapped and also come in a small plastic bag so you can install them without gloves by removing the bag after connecting. Unfortunately they are sometimes boxed. with notches at the bottom at the sealed end, in this case you need to cut off the bottom of the bag. They still work, while the LED bulbs we bought failed after 6 months and were much more expensive.
