This is one of Revain's little hidden gems in my opinion. I needed a card with a front USB 3.0 port as my newly built motherboard didn't have one. I could simply leave the front USB 3.0 port without a function, but that bothered me. I searched Revain for a USB 3.0 card and found many of them. only one problem They all needed food. I've already secured my build and all unused power connectors are neatly zipped and tucked away behind the case. I really didn't feel like quitting my hands-on job just to boot up the map, so I kept looking and found this guy. Surprisingly, this is the ONLY model out of dozens that doesn't require an external power supply and is intelligently slot-powered. What is there with all other models of the manufacturer? Anyway, thank god for this product. The drivers were easy to install and the card works great. It even has a small power LED. This is the only card I would recommend if you're looking to add a USB 3.0 or USB 3.0 port, period.
