Not worth the cost savings for offshore use

I installed this on my boat while cruising the US west coast and also in Mexico. My charger/inverter lasted about a season. Here are my biggest weaknesses: 1. It is not possible to charge periodically without starting the inverter. If you use the energy saving mode, the inverter will run during a power failure and drain your batteries. This is terrible for unattended use, as you'll have a fair drain on your batteries if someone unplugs the cord.2. The device is too sensitive to AC voltage. Commercial AC is 120 +/- 15%. Many marinas use this higher voltage, especially at night, to offset losses during the day. If the value exceeds 131, the charger will switch off and discharge the batteries again (see #1) 3. No power output. This means that if you want to charge a limited generator to full capacity, you won't be able to start anything else, or it will overload the generator.4. It's unreliable. First went the power saving mode, now the charger doesn't work at all. The inverter still works, but it's about to become a heavy paperweight for me.5. The remote display is almost useless. Neither at the input nor at the output amplifier. There is no information about the state of charge (it says charging only, but can be floating). I did not use the autostart functions or the technical support as the installation was very easy. Although the instructions weren't very good.
