I have a 12 volt solar system and I wanted this meter to show what voltage my battery is reading and how much current is flowing through my charge controller. I decided to use the voltmeter wires before connecting the load to it with the booster wires connected, so it was only connected to two. It was connected to the terminals of my charge controller and as soon as the switch was turned on to turn on the controller it blew out. My Fluke showed 12.4 volts on the battery while drawing 0 amps. The solar panel was powered off so it received no input or output other than a single battery pack. The specs for this meter show 100V and 10A, which I couldn't even get close to. I assume I received a defective item.
