Review on HP Wireless Printing Replenishment K7R96A by Travis Karren

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Stay away.: Printer

We have an HP 6975 printer and it works great. When my mother-in-law needed a printer, we bought her this 7855. She had problems with it. He arrived at her home about a week before our holiday visit. It was a horror show. Operator error is usually why brand new things don't work, but I have some experience with printers and have been patient but never been able to get this to work. Software removed and reinstalled. Started over with numbers. The first problem was a phantom paper jam. There is no jam but after about an hour it was possible to play around with it. Finally printed a test page. Hooray! Then a cartridge error appeared. Refused to print another document. Never deleted. I slowly removed and replaced the cartridges. The error was not reset, not printed. Didn't call support, too tired to do that. But I finally fixed it. If you saw the Office Space movie, I did to this printer what I did to the fax machine. I took it to the backyard and destroyed the thing. It was a relief and worth the heartache I received from my wife. We don't have the money to throw them away, but I just had to destroy this thing. Something inside me just clicked. I was at my wits end with this thing. The mother-in-law lives out of state and the box and packing materials were missing. So I destroyed it and it was good. Too bad, the touchscreen was very good on this machine. It's easy to read all persistent errors. I then went to a local store and bought another brand for less money and it was up and running in less than 20 minutes. I've had HP before and never had a problem, but stay away from this one. This review was more about my mother-in-law's holiday visit I think, but to be honest the new printer we bought worked fine again.
