Cute pattern, but frumpy design

This swimsuit is so pretty, but unfortunately, the style isn't exactly what I expected. The colors are bright and vivid, and the suit itself is very well made - stretchy, but holds its shape, with sturdy seams. However, the shoulder straps (which are not adjustable), are much wider and closer-set than I thought they'd be, based on the listing photos, and the bust is higher cut and ruched in the middle. Overall, it gives the suit a sort of frumpy look. I'm so disappointed - I was sooo looking forward to this swimsuit.I'm 5'2", 110lbs, 32B, and based on the size chart, should have gone with an XS, but the smallest size available was a small, so that's what I ordered. I'd say it fits true to size based on those measurements. It felt about a half size too big for me, primarily in the bust (which was loose) and in the shoulder straps (which could have been tighter). The body of the suit fit fine, not too snug, and the booty is somewhat cheeky, about medium coverage. The O-ring belt at the waist is sewn at the sides, so if you need to pull it tighter than it's designed to go, it'll look lopsided. But - it is partially adjustable. All in all, this isn't as sexy or youthful of a style as I had hoped for. While it fits adequately enough, it's just not flattering to my body type.
