Spatula Showdown: OXO Good Grips Jar Spatula vs. iSi Basics Slim Spatula vs. Vitamix

This is a review of the OXO Good Grips Jar Spatula. after mixing on the sides and bottom of the Vitamix. I not only bought this spatula, but also the iSi Basics silicone thin spatula, red, and the Vitamix spatula, a set of 3. Of the three spatulas, the Vitamix spatula was clearly the worst. Overpriced, inflexible and did a terrible job of what a spatula is supposed to do scraping the surface being cleaned. The OXO Jar spatula has a silicone coated head and shaft. Black pen - santoprene. The round handle is comfortable to hold. It is not detachable but looks like a separate piece. However, I would consider it a one-piece spatula for all practical purposes. Can be washed in the dishwasher. In the middle of the shaft there is an insert made of polypropylene. It's rigid so it won't bend a lot when cleaning. The sides of the blade are straight and flexible at the edges, allowing it to follow the contour of the surface you are scraping. He does his job very well. It's narrow enough that you can easily reach things that always get caught on the underside of the Vitamix around the blades. The Vitamix spatula is made of hard plastic that is easy to cut with Vitamix blades. The soft silicone has a more scratch-resistant effect. But you still have to be careful around the blades. This spatula has an overall length of 11 1/8 inches. The blade is approximately 3 1/4" long and 1 3/8" wide, tapering to 1.1/8" at the bottom edge". The bottom edge is straight, unlike the Vitamix spatula, and that straight edge makes it easier cleaning at the bottom Of the three spatulas I bought the OXO and ISI Basics are the clear winners, each is a good choice, Vitamix lost the most in this showdown.
