Review on WiFi router TP-LINK TL-MR3020, white by Agata Konarska ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not everything is so bad, the average purchase in quality.

4 Meters of flush on board, 32 memories. In general, an interesting piece of iron with huge possibilities for customizing the firmware, slightly constrained by the fact that the manufacturer squeezed himself into two microcircuits - flashes and frames. If there were 8Flash / 64RAM prices, there would be no device, and so you have to work out with extroot on MicroSD on board Huawei E392, E3276 modems and the like in order for the packages to fit. In the future, you will probably have to stick a USB Hub, the port is the only one. Firmware from the manufacturer is buggy, the functionality is lame. There are options to finish the hardware, the most painless is to solder the comport and JTAG chips, more advanced is to screw the USB Hub board inside, unsoldering it in place of the standard connector, but this is at your own peril and risk.

Pros
  • Small, compact, cool, light. There is a 2022-language support and a 2022-language support forum of the manufacturer. You can flash OpenWRT.
Cons
  • Raw firmware. There is not enough flash (4M) to properly flash OpenWRT with all the packages that we would like.
