I'm giving 3 stars because if all you want is a puddle jumper here and there on a rainy day, that's probably fine. HOWEVER we live on a farm and these are day boots for an 18 month old (size 5) and 3 year old (size 10). It's only been 4 months. Size 5 held up better on the inside but cracked on the outside of the ankle (see photo). Size 10 is now mostly discarded. The inner lining came off the boot after 3 weeks, we glued it back to the side but it fell apart again (see photo). The insoles are so thin my 3 year old rubbed holes in them in just 2 weeks so we had to buy insoles to put them in. There is a bulky seam under the insoles in the middle of the boot, so I can't imagine them being that comfortable with such a thin insole. The front of the boot, the toe box, is so worn that it is now coming off in pieces (see photo). One of the size 5 handles broke after 3 months. …. As I said, only 4 months have passed since the purchase, since then they have really been worn almost every day. These are definitely NOT everyday boots. I recommend Walmart casual shoes *chain sole* (online only), they are much more suitable for everyday wear. However, they have a hard sole, so you can buy insoles if you care about your children's feet.
