We had a previous model of this unit that we used for about 10 years or so for enough that the wires started fraying where the power cord enters the unit . So we ordered this newer model even though we didn't need the heating feature. We found this unit to be louder than our previous model, with a sort of rumble that leads me to believe this particular unit is not working properly. I ended up remounting our old box and it continues to work perfectly. As I haven't opened it for a while it may be too late for me to return it but it's on me.
