I've spent a lot of time looking for shapes and I like them because they have handles and they fold well. Unfortunately, although they were well packaged, one of them was broken on arrival and I sent it back. The same was noted by other reviewers. I think the problem is that they are ceramic, not porcelain. The clay used in many pottery items is simply not suitable for everyday use. There is nothing sadder than when your favorite dish breaks or cracks at the edges and becomes unusable. I have purchased used Chinese porcelain soup bowls that I have had for years that have been washed hundreds of times in the dishwasher and still have no cracks or chips. I would recommend this manufacturer to make them out of porcelain or stoneware - I know they require higher temperatures - but they won't get as many returns.
