These little guys do a good job. I installed them on my laptop, my wife's and my son's laptop and I have 2 extras (bought 5 of them). Follow the simple instructions and you should be in business in no time. One of the laptop's cameras sits above a glass surface and the rest sits above a typical metal/plastic frame - all well bonded and haven't fallen off (make sure to clean as instructed prior to installation). The slider slides well, just make sure you have some fingernail to help slide (I use this method to open and close the lid), but you can also use a pad/fingertip to slide it (requires a combination of light pressure). finding the golden mean to let it slide). I close my laptop with no problems - it shuts down or puts the laptop to sleep. These sleeves, when properly installed, look like they are original, like they are part of the original laptop - see my photos. Anyway very satisfied so far.
